Premier liga je objavila imena osmih kandidatov za najboljšega igralca meseca septembra.

V ožjem izboru sta dva igralca Evertona in Leciestra, po eden pa prihaja iz Leedsa, Liverpoola, Tottenhama in Brightona.

James Rodriguez in Dominic Calvert-Lewin predstavljata Everton, Timothy Castagne in Jamie Vardy Leicester, v izboru pa so še Sadio Mane, Harry Kane, Patrick Bamford in Tariq Lamptey.
