Tri dni pred novim letom je West Ham odpustil managerja, Manuela Pellegrinija.

V zadnji tekmi leta 2019 je West Ham spet razočaral svoje navijače in proti lisicam izgubil 1:2. To je bil že šesti poraz te ekipe doma v tekoči sezoni. Z devetimi porazi na zadnjih 12 tekmah je West Ham sedaj na 17. mestu razpredelnice.

Pellegrini je na klopi londonskega moštva preživel leto in pol. Lani je klub končal na 10. mestu. Čilenec je dobil 24 od skupno 64 tekem na klopi West Hama.
